Real Madrid fans set to defy ‘all-white’ instruction against Manchester City
The Santiago Bernabeu is, quite easily, one of football’s most iconic stadiums. As the home to one of football’s greatest-ever teams, it is a fortress to reckon with for opposition teams and a location where Los Blancos are virtually unbeatable.
It is safe to say that the fans are as important, if not more than the architectural marvel itself. Filling the seats to the brim, they make football at the venue a spectacle to behold with an ocean of white.
Request for the UCL game
As revealed by Jorge C Picon (h/t Madrid Xtra), Grada de Animacion (The Animation Group) have sent an open request for all Real Madrid fans attending the upcoming UEFA Champions League clash against Manchester City on Tuesday to be dressed in white.
The unison in colour will only amplify the energy and support in the stadium, putting pressure on the opposition and creating a scene to behold.
The members of the Animation stand were seen holding a poster that said ‘9/4/2024: a Bernabéu dressed in white’ during Los Blancos’ last game against Athletic Club, pushing for the same.
They were also handed a significant boost when Real Madrid sensation Vinicius Jr posted on his social media in their favour, urging fans to accept the uniform.
The revolters’ stance
The instruction has not gone down well with a certain sect of the fanbase, however, who insist on doing as they please and violating the suggestion.
Many such revolters cite Real Madrid’s last game as justification for their actions.

After all, Real Madrid wore purple on the night through Adidas’ promotional campaign while Athletic Club donned white at Santiago Bernabeu, upsetting many fans.
The Bernabeu will indeed be predominantly white in the game against Manchester City, but a few reactionary fans will likely prevent it from being a pure ocean of white.
