DWA DNI WYSTARCZĄ – IGA ŚWIATEK MÓWI, ŻE ZMIANA RZECZY Z TRAWY NA OLIMPIJSKIE 2024 W PARYŻU „NIE JEST PROBLEMEM”

Aryna Sabalenka, Ons Jabeur and Emma Raducanu might be missing the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, but world No. 1 Iga Swiatek will be representing Poland. Swiatek won at Roland-Garros, the venue for tennis at the Games, earlier this month and has spoken about the challenges of switching back to clay from grass. Swiatek will be the favourite to win gold at the Games.
Iga Swiatek expects going back to clay for the Paris 2024 Olympics not to be a “problem” for her and thinks the change of surface would be harder if reversed. The tennis event at the Games starts at Roland-Garros on July 27, two weeks after the final of Wimbledon.
The timing of the Olympics means players are switching from clay to grass, then back to clay, and then to hard courts ahead of the US Open, which starts on August 26.
World No. 3 Aryna Sabalenka, world No. 10 Ons Jabeur and former US Open winner Emma Raducanu have said they are not playing the Olympics due to the scheduling.
However, Swiatek, who has won the French Open for the last three years in a row, will bid for gold with Poland. “I think it would be a bigger challenge if there was grass first, clay in the middle, and grass again. Going back to the clay won’t be a problem for me,” she told Przeglad Sportowy
