With Senior Bowl week in full swing, the Chicago Bears have begun the crucial process of narrowing their list of intriguing NFL draft prospects and evaluating their best strategies for constructing their roster during the 2025 offseason. Top prospects in the 2025 NFL draft class continued to impress league scouts during the second day of practices for the annual Reese’s Senior Bowl. They will practice once more on Thursday before playing in Saturday’s main showcase. Two days into the process, though, at least one offensive lineman participating in the Senior Bowl has captured the attention of the Bears’ front office. The feelings also seem to be mutual.
On Wednesday, Texas Tech offensive lineman Caleb Rogers confirmed to Athlon Sports’ Jordan Sigler that he has met with the Bears at the Senior Bowl. He also glowed about his potential fit with Chicago after a standout second practice. “I love them. It seems like they love me, or at least I hope they do,” Rogers told Sigler about the Bears on Wednesday. Rogers is a highly athletic and versatile offensive lineman who started at four different positions – both guard and tackle spots – over his five years with the Red Raiders. The 6-foot-5, 310-pound prospect has also taken some snaps at center during Senior Bowl week, touting his ability to play all five positions. Rodgers, however, is not listed on either ESPN’s or Pro Football Focus’ prospect rankings for the 2025 class, an indication the Bears might be targeting him as either a late Day 3 selection or a potential undrafted free agent signing. Then again, if Rogers shines in the Senior Bowl, he has the potential to start climbing draft boards and generating buzz for the NFL Scouting Combine.
