One of the biggest needs for the Green Bay Packers this offseason is cornerback. During the Senior Bowl, they have been heavily scouting cornerbacks. There is a chance that general manager Brian Gutekunst will overhaul the position this offseason.
The Packers have been meeting with different cornerbacks at the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama throughout the week. On Friday, it was reported that the Green Bay Packers met with Ole Miss Rebels cornerback Trey Amos. Amos this past season with Ole Miss recorded 50 tackles, one forced fumble, three interceptions, and 13 pass deflections.

The Packers will undoubtedly try to shore up their secondary during the offseason. One of the first players Packers officials talked to at the Senior Bowl here in Mobile, Ala., was Trey Amos. The 6-foot, 190-pound cornerback from Mississippi is one of most complete players at his position in the draft, an adept cover guy who rarely misses a tackle. Amos excelled during the first two days of practices at the Senior Bowl before suffering a minor ankle injury. He showed he’s a first-round talent. Asked about his meeting with the Packers, Amos said, “We had a great conversation. Great vibes.””
It will be interesting to see what cornerback the Green Bay Packers decide to draft in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. This may not be the last time that Ole Miss Rebels cornerback Trey Amos is looked at by Green Bay. There is no doubt that they will continue to scout cornerbacks leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft.
