About the Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people in residential care settings. The aim of the service is to provide a home-from-home environment where children feel safe, valued, and empowered to develop important life skills.

You will help young people achieve their personal goals, participate in enjoyable activities, and prepare for independent living and future success.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

  • Supporting children and young people in achieving personal goals and aspirations.
  • Assisting with daily routines and developing essential life skills.

  • Organising and participating in recreational and educational activities.
  • Supporting children with complex emotional and behavioural needs.

Eligibility Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Understanding of person-centred planning and support.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills equivalent to GCSE level.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Driving Requirements

  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.
  • Have access to their own vehicle.
