Georgia Bulldogs freshman offensive lineman Marques Easley has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities following a car crash on Monday night. Reports indicate that Easley lost control of his vehicle, a white Dodge Challenger, which left the roadway, struck a power distribution box, collided with two parked cars, and ultimately crashed into the front of a residential building.
In a separate incident, sophomore wide receiver Nitro Tuggle was arrested early Thursday morning on misdemeanor charges of speeding and reckless driving. He was booked into the Athens-Clarke County jail and later released on bond.
These incidents are part of a concerning pattern within the Georgia football program, which has faced multiple driving-related issues over the past two offseasons. Notably, a tragic crash in January 2023 resulted in the deaths of offensive lineman Devin Willock and recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy.
Head coach Kirby Smart has acknowledged the challenges in addressing these behaviors among his players. The university has stated that there will be no further comment on the suspensions at this time.
