It could be a foregone conclusion that one local star plays college football for the Georgia Bulldogs. The bigger question might be where he will play on the field.
On3’s Rusty Mansell reported that the Bulldogs continue to have a strong lead in the recruitment of four-star athlete Ryan Mosley. Mansell called Mosley a wide receiver, but the Carrollton, Ga. product may play defense for the Bulldogs.
“The 6-foot-2, 205-pound four-star is listed as an athlete and he can play either offense or defense at the next level should he choose Georgia,” Mansell wrote. “From everything we’ve heard, it sounds like he can make his pick. Mosley has had UGA in the lead for a while.”
According to 247 Sports, Mosley has received offers from the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Texas A&M Aggies, South Carolina Gamecocks and Penn State Nittany Lions, in addition to the Bulldogs. Mosley has official visits scheduled with all five schools late this spring.
But the Bulldogs appear to have a leg up in his recruitment.
“I love Kirby, man,” Mosley told DawgNation’s Jeff Sentell on February 9. “I love Kirby. I love the coaches. Love the fans. Environment. Everything.”
The 247 Sports composite rankings rated Mosley the No. 28 wide receiver in the 2026 recruiting class. Mosley is also the No. 24 Georgia prospect and a top 200 recruit according to the composite rankings.
Mosley will play his final high school season at Carrollton High School.
